Sedbergh WI Bookclub

This month we were reading The Brontes by Juliet Barker. It’s the story of the Brontes, unsurprisingly, from their father Patrick to Anne, the youngest child. The book has nearly 1000 pages and a further 180 pages of notes so it’s not for the faint hearted! I’m sorry to report I didn’t read the notes. It certainly caused a lot of conversation about their life and times of the Brontes. It did appear that most of the group failed to read it so we were quite a small group today.
