Red Shouldered Hawk (Immature)

Wendy and I are volunteering to monitor Raptor breeding at the areas  surrounding the Meadowside Nature Center.  It involves hiking one of the survey routes at least twice a month and documenting any raptor activity.
This shot was taken today on my hike.  I have another shot in extra, of a Bald Eagle in a Nest.  

The kitchen renovators arrive at 7 a.m. every morning.  This is going to be a challenge for us with hockey games because the games from the west coast don't end until 1 a.m.  Playoffs are coming up next week and tonight is the last game of the regular season. Our son's team is in first place by a thread and they need to get at least one point tonight to finish first in the Western Conference or the team right behind them needs to lose which isn't likely.
