Castle Capture

Really good day with friends from Brazil, who still live in the nearest town to where we lived there. Met them at the castle - this is the oldest part - and almost the only photo I took all day in a day full of picturesque settings, but you know when you're too busy interacting to think about photos?

They came back to ours for more coffee and then lunch outside, after which we all had a break for a nap (or non-nap in my case), then we did a round tour of the Lake, including, for the first time ever, going into the dam's interpretation centre, which was interesting, but incredibly biased.

Ended, unexpectedly, with a good Alentejano meal at the Adega Velha, and chats with both Fakir and Zé Maria.

Gratefuls:
- old friends, memories, catching up, and new jokes
- Monsaraz at sunset and Sahida (my favourite café) being open, for once
- getting the house cleaned up before they arrived; it was getting squalid with the lack of water and me being ill
