On golden pond

Yesterday fellow blipper LesleyAlsford and l went out to Hertfordshire to an RSPB (Royal Society for Protection of Birds) wetlands site. We were hoping to see Kingfishers but l was happy just to be out in the countryside.  We did see two kingfishers but at a distance (see extra) and too fuzzy for main photo.  I chose a (rather large) Coot preening  itself and reflection from some man made sand banks.   A pleasant day, the rain.stayed off and we agreed it would be good to go again when there are babies and perhaps earlier in the morning.
