Tattered Texture (with Tooth Marks)
Day 2 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The weather is appalling ... rain, gray skies, the odd rumble of thunder.
Mr. W is busy instructing new racers today, so I won't be seeing him until the end of the day. In the meantime, the two dogs and I are huddled in the camper, our noses pressed to the windows, watching the rain drops.
This is a picture of the dogs' toy basket, filled with an assortment of well-loved, gnawed-on, unraveled, de-squeakered toys. Plenty of texture going on here, with a fuzzy snake, a woolly moose, a couple of furry squirrels, a gnarly rope, a rubbery duck body with an unrecognizable head which has now morphed into a spiky blue blob from much enthusiastic chewing, some hard shiny plastic keys, a soft pink rubber bone ... and of course the woven willow basket itself.
I have a feeling this bunch will be put to good use today!
