Confiding

There is often a Jay in this spot, but rarely as confiding as this. 

Nearby I found a small dead mammal (do not click extra if you don’t want to see it) which was covered in mud but I assume must be a Stoat or a Weasel. The oak leaf in the image gives some sense of scale. I think stoats are larger so I will plump for Weasel. If I’d washed the mud off the tail  identification would have been easier. 

There was one duckling on the Dam which is a sad number to come across.
