Dangling

I've been admiring this hibiscus plant for a few weeks. It grows in a patch of neglected bushland , on the dune behind Seven Mile Beach. Google Lens tells me it is Hibiscus schizopetalus, common name Japanese or Chinese Lantern. One webpage describes the flower as having  staminal columns dangling below the petals. I like the word 'dangling', my title for today.
