Overworked and undervalued

For the second time in as many weeks, I joined a consultant friend of mine on the junior doctors’ protest march from Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary to the Monument in the city centre. There was another great turnout to conclude the 4 day strike for pay restoration.
