At The Crossing

A and I went for a walk of the heath this morning, fortunately getting home before the hail and rain arrived. These are two visiting engines for the Spring Steam Gala, Vulcan on the left and Eddystone on the right. I’ve also added a sepia of a resident engine emerging through the steam. We walked to Weybourne station where we had a sit down and watched the comings and goings of the various steam trains which run frequently on gala days. Lots of photographers around today too. This afternoon I did some spring cleaning as well as editing my photos. 

Covid Update
Covid was the 6th leading cause of death in England and Wales in 2022, having been the leading cause in 2020 and 2021. This was despite March 2022 seeing 4.4m weekly infections, the highest ever seen. Scientists are calling for a larger study after a small study has shown reduced levels of fatigue in Long Covid after taking the drug AXA1125. Emerging data suggests that the virus targets mitochondria, the ‘power generators’ within cells, and that the drug increases energy production in cells and reduces inflammation.
