Cold dark blue hands!

Two sets of grandparents and three grandchildren were off to the science museum today!  We started at Wagamama in Springfield.  Opposite where Dad used to work when he first worked in Manchester.  We were the first there and they let us in from the rain early and we had a great lunch.  It's been ages since I have been to what I consider one of my favourite restaurants.

Then a walk down to the museum - It rained all day! Thumbnail : my cold dark hand compared to a younger warmer hand!  As we stood in front of the screen.  Our wet coats showed up as cold and dark!  I thought this thermal imagery was great fun!

The infinity tunnel was also great but it didn't take the kids long to work out there were pieces of mirror both above and below the lines of lights!

At the bottom it was magnets and their powers of attraction and repulsion!  Lastly in this selection was a place were three different colours red, green and blue came together giving some very vivid colours!  Reminded me of the Harris Shutter effect.  But here it was just the mixture of coloured lights.

It was a bit crowded but people were letting others take turns and not hogging the various stands.  Later we went into the 'Pixil' area where they coloured in on squared paper.  Ro and I sat in some very plush leather armchairs and had a rest!

The museum appears to be redoing all the train building and the aircraft area as well.  We managed to avoid the shop on the way out and it was home!
