Seeing clearly now

Jimmy Cliff’s song has been running around in my head like an earworm even since our windscreen was replaced earlier today.

Early last week a stone had hit it and formed a good crack. While the crack did not seem to grow it was beyond patching so a call to the insurance company was made. All straightforward and after the transfer of some funds a replacement was ordered. Today was the day. It was one of those “any time from 8am to 6pm: we’ll let you know when we are in our way” type of arrangements. So I was up and ready by 07:45. They - or rather he - arrived sometime after 1. So not too bad.

All very efficient and even although he was on his own the new screen was fitted well within the hour. We need to take care to let it all settle and firm up for a few hours. But all good to go.
