as predicted in yesterday's entry, my getting out the summer wardrobe prompted a change in the weather. still, i got washing done, seeds planted, plant repotted, dusting and hoovering done so i felt quite positive. then i logged on in the hopes of a conversation to find a day off had been taken. which is fair enough, but i feel it could have been mentioned sometime before 5pm today when the mail landed. *sigh*

i'm sorely tempted to swing by amazon and buy a birthday gift - it's not my birthday, but i never got a gift from the person whose birthday is coming soon, so maybe i'll buy a gift for me for their birthday. that seems about right, no?
