Mavis
We went to my friends dad's 90th birthday celebrations last night. He's a lovely old boy who spent time during the second world war in the RAF. He was also a prisoner of war.
This shot is of Mavis a friend of theirs. I have met her before when she was helping to run a pub up in Kettlewell where her daughter is the landlady. As you can see she is in fine voice singing along to "I'm a believer" by the Monkees. She also likes her Guinness as you can see by the half pint glass she is clutching. She is a bit of a character is Mavis, she informed us that she had once audition to be a Tiller Girl but was two inches too short, something that she is still a miffed about even today. She went on to spend the rest of thenight dancing and singing along to most of the songs. And by the way she is 80 years old, she knew how to have a good time.
