Moving On Up

I caught this female blackbird just as it was climbing a reed to perch on the top. I did eventually get a sharp shot, but quite liked the action in this frame.

Often I spend too long faffing with focus and exposure and framing and miss the moment. This time it was serendipitous. I noticed a tiny flash of orange on the wing.
