Back to the orchard

Finally we planted the sweet chestnuts. I'm not convinced that they will be happy here but here goes. We also planted some red variety of elder in between the birches and tartar maples planted yesterday. The asparagus bed is finished for the time being - it's very expensive this year but we will have to wait three years for this.

This is a view of part of the orchard which I'm reclaiming. We need to replace a few trees and deal with the ants again.
