Another lovely walk in the countryside with my Bedford friends. This time we drove a couple of miles out of town to walk around Bromham Lake Local Nature Reserve which has been created from old gravel pits. Our group includes a person who is incredibly knowledgeable about local plants and bats and he just loves to have interested ears to talk to. That being said, this image is of the roundabout in front of Bedford Bus Station in the centre of town. It's quite difficult to see the sculpture of Italian immigrants in the centre of the roundabout, but I assume the grass is cut later in the year.
