Almost seasonal

I finally got around to putting the marzipan on my simnel cake this afternoon, almost a week after Easter Sunday but I am firmly holding onto my Easter holidays until I am back at work on Tuesday. Another steady day with back to bed and reading once Bailey had had his breakfast, a walk round the big block once we got going but not too early. A few Saturday jobs but nothing too taxing, there was even a bit if an afternoon nap. 

I realised that last year's simnel cake was made on this day too - but it was a more appropriate Good Friday task .
