Memory...

I just spent a number of text messages sending cryptic clues to someone I worked with about 10 years ago. I accidentally phoned him about 5 years ago so I figured he would still have the same number. He did.

I was sending him clues to remind him who I was but then I realized that I had totally forgotten his actual name and could only name him as what I called him (what he was also down as in my phone). Took me a good 10 minutes racking my brain and running through common names to bring it back.

I can still remember phone numbers from well over 15 years ago but I sometimes struggle with names of people that I've seen in much less than half that time.

Memory is odd.
