Dumfries House

Last morning at the Cally Palace, a quick early walk after packing, followed by a fab breakfast. My dad’s leg was a bit swollen, so he drove straight home. The rest of us drove up to Dumfries House, it was 1.5 hours drive on some fab roads through moors and forests. The house and estate was fabulous, we had the one hour tour, so interesting and the kids loved it too.
The drive back to Bolton-le-Sands was ok, we made a stop for a drink at the Station Inn, Oxenholme, the traffic cleared by then. My brother cooked up a fabulous Indian meal, and we enjoyed our last night together.
