Shower door fitting adjustment

Somewhere along the road toilet paper became bathroom tissue and night school became continuing education.

I took a course in basic machining at the local tech. Expected clapped out 1940s machines.  Not so, top of the line cnc, robotics and modern lathes and mills. A fabulous course.

I acquired a lathe and mill 1960s kit from the estate of a top machinist ( really solid machines and lots of tooling).

Next task is fit the shower doors and as the tiles slope towards the drain and the door hangs vertically, I milled off the base of the glass door guide at an angle so it is perpendicular to the door (5 degree slope thx basic trig).

The blue on the edge is machining dye to gauge progress.

Job done and fits perfectly....

Lots of fun on a rainy Saturday afternoon.
