Shaun(a) the Sheep!!
You don't get more freshly shorn than this!! Looking remarkably noble and insousciant under duress. 3 large blokes are busy shearing the girls in the field next to us - and the one ram . My other blip was of him in a rather undignified position being (very delicately) shorn around his bits. Think we'll stick to this one.
What a day this is the fifth day of sunshine in a row - it's fabulous. Into the market this monring. The sunshine made everyone chatty. We ate our lunch (chicken wrap for Himself, spinach bureka for me )in the square where an old lady sharing our bench told us her life story - her sister had been cook to Lady Eden, wife of the one time PM and she'd been sent over to England to work in service when she was 14. Times have changed. I then chatted to another dapper gent wearing a most wonderful, if hot, get up - hat from Afghanistan, apparently.
An excellent if sobering film last night - What Richard Did, about a young man, 18, middle class, bright, popular, much loved who through a mixture of drink and jealousy, did a shocking thing and how he and the people around him reacted. Extremely well acted , highly realistic and very thought provoking.
It might be supper al fresco tonight and a glass of something refreshing.
