Nelly the Elephant

Ophelia had her second of five craft sessions this afternoon with Emma from The House of Objects, a centre in Newcastle which aims to reuse and recycle things and turn them into works of art. Organisations and individuals can join and take away stuff to use in arts and crafts projects. Today we all took in an empty plastic milk carton and turned it into an elephant. Ophi started it off but was soon distracted by the fairy shadow puppets so I finished off the elephant. I think she's pretty fab!
After Grace's swimming lesson this evening we met with another family and the kids had a play in the sports centre cafe whilst the adults had a natter. It was lovely - great start to half term :)))
