Early morning walk by the river
With my friend who had a knee replacement in late January. She’s doing fantastically well. We walked along as far as the heronry, and sat on a bench watching them. There’s even more than last year I think, about 50 altogether. They see to be at the finishing off the nests stage - the ones flying to their nest had twigs in their beaks, passing them to the one in the nest to put it in place.
I think this plant is called lady’s smock, but I might very easily be wrong:) I thought it looked nice with the river behind, and the shadows of trees. The flowers still have dew on them
