Rusting
Today was the annual Farnham Classic & Vintage Car Show. It's a fairly informal affair with cars just turning up in the central car park. There was a huge variety: the old, the ancient, the good, the bad and the downright ugly. In honour of derelict Sunday I focused my photographic attention on a bunch of rusting wrecks. They made a change from the pristine, ultra-restored, high gloss vehicles. Sadly, unlike last year, there was no foot-tapping, 1960s music.
After car appreciation we stopped for lunch in the Barista Lounge. It's a new venue for us and we discovered there is a nice little courtyard behind the indoor cafe. The sun was warm and the food was good so we lingered there for a while. After lunch we completed a number of shopping errands and landed back home mid afternoon.
This evening we watched the final two episodes of Clarkson's Farm. We have both really enjoyed series 2. It's great entertainment but also an amazing revelation as to what it takes to put food onto the table. Some of the bureaucracy beggars belief. It seems there will be a series 3 but not until mid 2024.
