Arrivederci Narni e Ciao, Roma!
Travel and transition day. On our way to the train station I had to get a parting shot of the big and breasted iron gates of the next door villa. Strangely, these pillars will be an iconic memory of Narni Scalo along with studying mosaics with Tiziana, and ‘grumpy man’…but that is an entirely different story. We arrived to Rome and ‘set up house’ in Trastevere before the arrival of my brother and his wife. We took a walk to check out the scene at the Vatican. Oh my what a culture shock to be in Rome. After being the only 2 foreigners (American or otherwise) for 2 weeks in Narni, here in Rome we are surrounded by tourists, few of which are Italian! Odd to be hearing so much English. The extra is the Madonna reigning over Rome.
