The Only Way is Up

The title is pinched from Yazz but appropriate in this context I think.
These are the escalators from Waverley Station up to Princes Street. As part of the refurbishment programme the notoriously steep and windy Waverley Steps were covered over and brought into the 21st century. The only problem is that since their installation the escalators break down on a regular basis and today is no exception. Fortunately for those with suitcases on this occasion the up escalator was working.
If only Steps* or One Direction* had recorded the song... You can't have everything I suppose.
