Second-time-around

Spanish bluebells and ladybird.

There was only an hour of sun today, and the rest of the day was dull white skies. My Spanish bluebell flowers were hardly visible last week, but they have rushed into flower now. I’m not sure if this ladybird (in my brambles) is a natural English one or one of those ‘invaders’. (It might have crossed the channel illegally in a boat!).

I note there are two new scandals involving ‘integrity’ today, with Sunak and Hancock. It’s all OK though, because they either deny it, say it’s ‘an error’, or apologise. Then they carry on until the next time. If the press won’t let them forget it, ‘enquiries’ will be commissioned and go on for such a long time that nobody remembers stuff like Dominic Raab’s bullying, or they just don’t care!
