Quiet Time

Kara woke up at just before 5am this morning. Normally that would be quite frustrating but I’ll give her a bit of a pass seeing as she didn’t wake up all night. Still, we weren’t quite ready to face the day so ask her to do some quiet time in her room. Some initial resistance but then I said ‘you can read all your books!’. Light bulb moment. What I thought might last 5 minutes lasted over 45 minutes. She would just bring a new one out, flick through it back and forth for a while. Then another one. Quite content.

On a side note, I discovered a while ago her room camera can swivel 180 degrees which came in handy this morning.
