Bee-autiful

I went to my parents' for a craft day and the garden is bursting into life. There were so many insects out and about in the garden including this stunningly beautiful bee who posed for a close-up, and there was a newt basking in the pond! 

A successful day starting to make a quilted book sleeve as the carrier bag I currently use when travelling with books is starting to fall apart.
