Sunfly

This is my first capture of the year of my favourite hoverfly for photographing, the sunfly or tiger hoverfly, Helophilus pendulus. It was taken on my HTC phone camera during a brief interlude in Thursday's strong winds. It is taking nectar from a kingcup or marsh marigold (Caltha palustris) beside the pond on my office's business park.
