Back in Time

MaryElizaR's TT challenge is something from "way back".
This is my nurse's watch, inscribed 5/5/69 which was the day I started my training, and it still works.
It hung upside down from a safety pin in my top pocket so was easily accessible to my left hand whilst taking a pulse with the right. With all today's modern gadgets I doubt if nurses have them these days but they were an essential part of our kit.
It crossed my mind that safety pins like this are probably a rarity now too. I can't image many modern mums know what a cloth nappy is.
