We chose a scenic route home from Oxford as we wanted to visit Wotton Underwood, where Mr W's 4x great grandparents were married and where his 3x and 2x great grandfathers were born. It's a 'one road in & out' village, and the roads in the area are not great - one 3-mile stretch had a sign that said "SLOW FAILED ROAD SURFACE"!

Afterwards, we stopped off at what we thought was a farm shop but which turned out to be The Crazy Bear and Ragged Staff, a place that defies any description I can come up with... I can only suggest that you google it!
