Re-purpose
It's grass-cutting day today (Extra), with the grass dry enough not to clog my mower. And the cuttings go on the compost heaps, here covered with an old lungi of mine – when I was last visiting my parents in Delhi, for Christmas 1974, my mother supplied me with several of these garments.
A lungi is just a long strip of cloth for wrapping around your lower half and they are very comfortable to wear, cool in summer and good in bed. This one has suffered damage so Mrs B judged it appropriate to use in the compost heap, which has not operated properly because of the excessive rain. She hopes that this cloth and a tarpaulin on top will warm the insides and get it going again.
