Budgie, budgie, burning bright.

Working from home today; finished, ran, took, cooked, ate, drove, dropped and then took the boys to Lewisvale park in Musselburgh for a kick around and to savour the low rays of the going down sun. We were joined by a wee boy called Daniel, whose grandfather was only too happy to have us running about with him rather than he. It was nice.

Lewisvale's a lovely park with a nice bandstand, some great trees, a cricket pitch up towards Inveresk and an aviary. Budgies, parakeets, canaries, finches and other brightly coloured birds hop and whistle about in the shed sized space behind its bars.

They wouldn't stand a chance if they were set free.
