Blencathra.

Returning from Penrith today I stopped in the usual lay-by to take this photo, as I have done for years, at different seasons.  The day was beautiful and warm.  However it was hazy over the lakes.  My wife used to see Penrith Beacon, a square building on a hill outside Penrith.  You would be hard pushed to see it now as trees hide it.  That landmark was the mark of being near home.  This Fell is now a reminder for how near I am to home.  You could see this view again on clearer days, or not at all if there is low cloud!
Update about the change of county name:  Penrith people are stating they are not in Westmorland and should return to Cumberland!
