Red Tulip

Here's an eye catching tulip I found skulking  with its friends in a pot and abandoned by the garage last summer. They've obviously done well on neglect.

Today's achievement was getting the electric scarifier out and tackling the grass with it. I won't call it a lawn. The only problem is that it creates small mountains of debris. Fortunately we hit on the idea of running the mower over to collect the bits as raking is a back breaking task. My husband has filled the compost heap with a couple of huge plastic bags left over.

Next it will need to be fed, I don't expect water will be in short supply in the near future although it was a beautifully warm sunny day today.
