Uncle Tom’s Bag

Cleaning out the dreaded downstairs cupboard had its reward today.  Finally reuniting a key marked Uncle Tom’s Bag with a dusty old leather holdall was exciting enough, even though the lock had rusted, but then I managed to prise out this lovely art deco locket from a crack in the base where it has lain hidden for decades.   It took me a while to work out how to open it but alas no engravings or photos inside so I will never know its story.
