not an apple

Bob walked into my office and said, "Dad, I like what you made."

I said, "What did I make?"

Bob said, "This sculpture."

I said, "Oh, I did not make that, my friend Robert from Texas made that."

He thought I was being funny by saying he made it, but I explained that I really do have a friend in Texas whose name is also Robert and he is a sculptor.

Then I asked him, "So Bob, what is that"

Bob said, "It's an apple core."

And I said, "No, actually, it's a sculpture of an apple core." Or at least that is what Magritte would say. But I did not tell him about Magritte, I'll save that for another time.

Oh, and yes, he seems to like Spiderman.
