Another Day

Sablet to Le Mont Ventoux

This morning it was warm and there was sunshine, so we dressed in our summery clothes for the first time. (Silly idea as we ended up in snow)
Top left picture is of Sue locking up their holiday home in Sablet where we are staying.
We took a drive to Le Mont Ventoux, alt 1912m. The Giant of Provence.
It is popular with cyclists and has long been a stage in the Tour de France.
From the town at the bottom, Malaucene, it is 21 miles up the mountain. There were a lot of Dutch people cycling up as an event. Long steep climb up.
The bottom left is of a stall of delicious lollies for sale. (Guess who had to buy some?)
There are Ski fields on the way up and the picture in the bottom middle is of cow slips, looking up the ski run.
Bottom right picture, is George, Sue and Alice, on the little terrace of the holiday home.
