Everyday I Write The Book

Soho Surreal

So: worked at home from 6.00 am until 1.00 pm then went up to London to the Photographer's Gallery in Ramillies Place. It used to be in pokey little premises off Leicester Square but the new home is six floors of photo heaven (not least the sumptuous cafe). Check out Claire Aho - so kitsch I thought it was a parody until I realised it was for real.

After that went to a couple of camera shops in Fitzrovia then went for a walk through Soho which is where I found this rather surreal juxtaposition (best viewed large).

Went to whole foods in Piccadilly then Lush in Waterloo (under orders from TSM) before heading home.

All in all a very satisfactory day despite the awful rain and wind which limited the photographic opportunities. Would have liked to have photographed the gangs of German football fans that were happily touring the West End in preparation for tomorrow night's Champion's League final but they were drunk and I was too cold...
