Cormorant drying its wings

Cormorants are expert divers. Google says that some species can dive up to (well, down to) 45m. Not in this water though. Cormorants have oil glands which they use to waterproof their feathers, but that doesn’t do the whole job and they are often seen like this with their wings spread out to dry.
