Tenacity

When our oak tree was lopped last October, this branch dropped and became caught on a branch below. 

It wasn’t really visible when all the foliage was on the tree, but since the branches have been bare it’s been hanging up there and defying every gust of wind that tries to dislodge it. 

I wonder how long it will be before it finally falls to the ground?
