W-I-D-E on Wednesday: Colourful Scene

My morning walk took me through Killingworth Village, so I had the opportunity to photograph this lovely flowerbed for Bobsblips's Widwed challenge: it did look nice in the morning sunshine.

As the morning went on a typical northeast fret developed so the sun disappeared for a few hours. However by early afternoon it was shining strongly. There was a moderate cool breeze, which my Editor would describe as a "cold wind" but to me it made for pleasant conditions to get on with some gardening. So the lawn has now had its long overdue first mowing of the year and it's also been spiked all over, and my Editor "braved" the wind to plant out some pansies which we bought yesterday.
