It looks like the Swan has decided to build her nest by the river bank.   The area that she's chosen is on a private nature reserve so hopefully she should be safe and it will be lovely watching progress as we take our walks.
Although we've been blessed with sunshine today the wind is still bitterly cold.   Another two hours in the garden  this afternoon, I can see progress being made on the big border, but the soil is still sodden and clinging to the roots making it hard work. 
As I type this I'm also watching about a dozen rabbits playing in the evening sunshine on the paddocks across the river, bliss.
