Purple Rain

Stormy clouds aloft got my attention, and that’s when I noticed the new baby spring leaves on the boxelder tree that towers over our driveway. It’s also a favorite perch of the mourning doves. There used to be two but a winter storm snapped it in half, and somehow it too is sprouting • Thanks to Lightroom those dark stormy clouds turned purple :) • Maine had its own mass shooting yesterday. We’re waiting to watch a 3pm press conference to learn more. A 34 year old man from Bowdoin was arrested for the murders of four people inside a home in Bowdoin. He has not yet been charged for randomly shooting at vehicles on I295 shortly after the murders, injuring three more, one critically. It’s a road and area we frequently drive. Very scary and concerning • MrsP and I have had a slow day after a poor night’s rest. Waking up early and not being able to fall back asleep isn’t unusual for us but last night was much worse.
