Grey-Legged Partridge

Driving down the lane it wouldn't get out of the way on a suicide mission in front of my near-side tyre but  on closer inspection I realised it was a grey-legged partridge and a first knowingly seen by me. Hard to believe that really as I have been out and about with my camera for quite some time. 

Hanging in a precipitous manner out of the car window expecting it to fly any minute which obviously it didn't I got a few shots. 

Suffering a serious decline leading up to 2015 it appeared on the 'Birds of Conservation Concern' Red List but a bird of least concern.
