Day off

Well, as close as I get to a day off. The morning was spent gardening at G’s. 

After lunch I met a friend for a walk round Kakanui Point, with a quick detour down to the rivermouth boat sheds. Most of them don’t house boats these days, but are venues for drinks parties, picnics and swimming days. None of that was happening today. Bean and I were the only ones there.

We reached home after dark thanks to a catch up over a cuppa with some more friends. 

It was an unusually sociable day…and I’m happy I’ll be a hermit again tomorrow. Bean loved it.
