An unscheduled trip to York. Richard needed an ultrasound scan of his kidneys as apparently he should have had one yesterday but hadn’t been told! So we had to make a special journey through. I dropped him off expecting him to be available for pick up in half an hour. Popped off to fill up with petrol. 

What they hadn’t said was he needed to wait for a doctor to share the results. Three hours later we were on the way home. However on the plus side his kidneys have improved so that made up for the wait.
