Osprey

The Osprey nest was ready two weeks ago and yesterday it was announced that they have arrived. They? I wonder if it is the same couple as last year.

We had news recently that a well known female Osprey by name Salli, nesting in Northern Finland and spending her winters in South Africa, has died in an Iranian power line after having already flown 8000km. Her mate is waiting in vain. It is being told that Salli's way to migrate has always been different and an enigma. She has alwayslown in a straight line and has chosen a dangerous route, where she now died.

Other bad news. Two Sea Eagles have been found shot to death on the South Western coast. 

But for the female Osprey, the boring hours and days and nights and weeks at the nest have begun.
