Gad, the heat, the flies.  Carruthers just dashed into my field tent to report that the Rangoon 24th has deserted.  To top it all Carstairs reports he really is Deidre and used to operate the tea trolley on Aberdeen Joint Station.  It’s enough to make one take up Blipping.


My sister n law is on her way (in CMC’s absence) for a snap inspection – my ferry informant tells me.
